Entrepreneurship Momentum recognized by Poets & Quants

Poets & Quants has released the Social Entrepreneurship: The Best Schools & Programs and the Top 100 MBA Startups lists in which the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and its startups were recognized for their achievements.

The University of Michigan was ranked the number six social entrepreneurship MBA program in the U.S. by Poets and Quants editor John Byrnes and his associates, based on US News & World Report’s recent listing. The Ross School of Business was cited for its ongoing dedication to holding leadership and management conferences and seminars, such as the Net Impact Conference, as well as programs such as the Domestic Corps program. The vast number of non-profit and public management courses available to students was also commended.

Our university’s startup momentum doesn’t stop at the doors of a classroom, but continues to flourish in the greater business community through MBA startups like Ambiq Micro. Ambiq Micro, an advanced semi-conductor company, was acknowledged as number 32 on Poets & Quants’ MBA startup list, a ranking based on the amount of financing received.

The Zell Lurie Institute is proud of U-M’s accomplishments throughout 2013, including it’s ranking by the Princeton Review as the number one entrepreneurship graduate program in the nation, and will continue to strive to be a trusted center for social entrepreneurship and startup opportunities.
